Down time

I’m starting to think that a hot cup of tea, some food, and blogging are going to become a nightly ritual for me. I might even take a bubble bath after I post this too. It was yet another lazy day in the Merrick household. We decided to move what we were supposed to be having for dinner tonight over to Thursday night, so it was fend for yourself. I’m feeling much better then I was yesterday and I wasn’t able to fall asleep until 5am, but it took a lot out of me so a day of rest it was. I’m currently sitting next to Marcus watching him play Dragon Age (I know not Andromeda, shocker) and just having some down time with him and the pups. Tomorrow’s menu consists of chicken in mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, and spinach all of which I am cooking and happens to be Marcus’s favorite. He worked a breakfast shift this morning yet again, and hasn’t been up from his nap for very long. I’ll probably make myself a sandwich later knowing me and my ever persistent hungry tummy (I did eat taco leftovers for dinner don’t worry). Hopefully he will be able to sleep in bed with me tonight and not have to work a breakfast shift in the morning. Anyway, I’m going to relax and maybe try to talk him into a movie or two. Thank you guys for all the love and support as always. Much love.

So we found out today that my aunts doctor was indeed right in diagnosing me. After four long months of no period, I finally got it today. I feel so relieved that we now finally have an answer to everything that’s been going on with me. Anyway, the dogs barkbox came today and so Shatzie got new toys and both of them share the treats. Tomorrow is Marcus’s payday, so it’s a bill to pay and some other things to take care of as well. It was yet another pretty day today, but we didn’t take advantage of it as much as I thought we would, which is okay. It’s been a pretty good day all around. Got some really good news, get to have dinner with family tomorrow, and Friday is date day. I’m going to apologize if our Friday vlog goes up a little late, since I’m sensing we probably won’t be home very much. I have to come off of the cream until day 12 of my cycle, which is per instructions of the cream itself. Then I can start it again after that. We took the dogs for a walk last night because it was so nice, and they seemed to enjoy it. I’m sorry if this post is a bit rambling and all over the place, we’ve just got so much going on. Anyways, I’m going to cut this one off right here before I ramble your ears off. Thank you for all the love and support as always. Much love.

Spring cleaning

It’s been such a pretty day today that we decided to do some Spring cleaning. Both of our windows are open, candles are lit, and the entire apartment is smelling amazing and super clean. If it isn’t too cold later tonight, we are planning on taking the dogs for their walk. Marcus is even taking me on a date Friday since he has the day off. I’ve got one more load of dishes to put away, and then hopefully we can stuff our faces with some food seeing as the only thing I’ve eaten today is garlic roasted pita chips. It’s a simple breakfast for dinner tonight. My parents decided to treat us to Ross Park Drive Inn for dinner last night, since opening day was yesterday. I was a fat kid and had my usual taco burger, chili cheese fries, and Scotch and soda (not actual Scotch, dangit). I didn’t expect Marcus to take over the blog yesterday, but thank you for all the love you guys showed his post. We are giving the dogs a bath tonight I promise. Things are looking up for us, as I have been noticing my cream and supplements have started working. I actually went to bed at 12:30 instead of my usual 5am. Anyways, I should probably put the rest of the dishes away and convince Marcus that it’s probably time for dinner. Thank you guys so much for all the love and support as always. Much love.

Auntie to the rescue

I got to babysit Jayden baby today. I just barely got home to a wonderful smelling roast in the crockpot, and  on the phone with my momma. I’m awaiting the phone call from Marcus so I can finish the rest of dinner. Jayden was really good for me today, and Bryce even ordered us food which took almost two hours to get there (for real people, I was hangry). Tomorrow is a regular Sunday laundry day, with the exception of Marcus working a breakfast shift tomorrow. All in all, it was a pretty good day for me. I’m officially on cycle day 100, with no period and not even a slight sign of one. Hopefully my hormones are on the road to recovery and trying to balance out. Don’t forget there is a new video up on our channel explaining my condition, and you can find the channel link on the top menu of the blog site. I’ll leave it linked down below as well, so it’s easier to find. And as always, if you guys have any questions, comments, or concerns please please please let me know! There is also a contact form on here that you can reach me through, and of course there is my Facebook and Twitter and Youtube channel as well. Feel free to reach out, and I will respond as quickly as possible (I am a dog mommy and wife, so I will totally try to get to you as fast as I can)! Anyways, thank you guys for all the love and support as always. I made it to 600 views just 3 months into 2017 so that’s a big thing for me! You guys are awesome! Much love.

Busy bee wifey

I am now on day two of progesterone and amino acids as we speak. I’ve put on my cream twice, taken my supplement, cleaned the house with Marcus, made dinner, Skyped his parents, received new roses, taken a shower, filmed a video for our channel, and now Marcus and I are going to drink Apple Pie moonshine and play Diablo 3. He’s got the next two days off, so we will be finishing up the house cleaning and such all while uploading our new video and trying to relax. Also regarding my post about my deficiency, if anybody has any questions, feel free to leave comments and I will happily answer them to the best of my ability. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, see previous post. Also, we have a sick Toby dog in the house. We think he may have gotten ahold of some of Shatzie’s puppy food and it just didn’t agree with his tummy. He seems to be doing better now, but I think we will be putting her food up high at night just in case. I know that balancing out myself will probably take some time, but in the meantime I’ve got plenty of work and such to keep me busy. I should have the newest video up this Friday, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Anyways, I’m going to end the post here so I can spend time with Marcus and probably get a little tipsy. Thank you guys for all the love and support as always. Much love.

A sappy post

I just wanted to take a moment out of my normal blog posts, and dedicate this particular one to Marcus. Let me start from the beginning. We met through text message on my 16th birthday when I was attending my very first concert. We were both Sophomore’s in high school, and our feelings blossomed very fast. Young love some people might call it, but we knew better. Now obviously, when I say “met through text message” I mean just that. He was two states away from me in Colorado, and so a long distance relationship it was. We were together 14 months, and then because of the distance and other various reasons we ended it. Years passed, and we stayed in touch every now and again. Although we weren’t together, he was my best friend through thick and thin. We knew everything about each other. And then, after a really hard breakup on both our ends, we began talking again. We talked over Facebook messenger for more then an hour, until we exchanged numbers and he called me on the phone to say goodnight. Once I picked up that phone call, all the feelings and memories of his voice came back. I had never felt so safe in my life. We continued texting and such, until we had our very first Skype call. From then on, we Skyped every night. I had mustered up enough courage to finally tell him that I never stopped loving him, and he told me the same. We got back together, and I was never so happy as I was then. He decided to come and visit me in August, and Bradley and I went to pick him up at the bus depot in Salt Lake City. He stayed a whole week with me, met my parents, and he even proposed to which I said yes. He moved down two months later. May 30th, 2015 is the day I married my best friend, the love of my life. In two short months, we will be married 2 years. I just wanted to thank him from the bottom of my heart for everything he does for his little family. Marcus Frederick Merrick, I love you with all that I am, and I couldn’t imagine spending the rest of my life with anybody else. I’ll end this post right here. Thank you for all the love and support as always. Much love.

Food for thought

So Marcus ended up not working today. He literally went all the way to work, found out that he didn’t work at all (nobody told him beforehand), and then came back home and crashed out with me. So, we decided that today was a game day for us. Probably will turn into a movie night once dinner is done. On the menu tonight is ranch burgers (I have the recipe in the recipe corner), spinach, and mashed potatoes. It’s been a pretty lazy day for all of us. We went to Winco last night and picked up things so we can start meal prepping and such sooner then planned. I’ve also gotten into the habit of making Marcus a quick breakfast at night so he can eat it before he heads to work. We will probably start a how to on our Youtube channel showing how we meal prep as well. I’ll let you guys know more about that once we get the hang of it. I’m also going to include once again down below the link to the home chef website which is me giving you a $30 off coupon on your first box. Feel free to check it out and give it a try! Anyways, I’ve got to get back to making dinner. Thank you guys so much for all the love and support as always! Much love.
